Everything You Need to Know Before You Start Dancing Bachata

Bachata is one of the most beginner-friendly social dances in the world, and most people start with no experience at all.

What Is Bachata?

Bachata is a romantic partner dance from the Dominican Republic, danced to guitar-based music with a simple four-step rhythm and smooth hip movement.

There are three main styles of bachata:

  • Traditional Bachata

  • Modern Bachata

  • Sensual Bachata

Each style keeps the same foundation but expresses music and movement differently.

  • A strong connection to music

  • A social, relaxed atmosphere

It is designed to be accessible even if you have never danced before.
